Children's Ministry

Karen Mogath, Children & Youth
At Freedom Worship Center, the children are one of our priorities. We believe that Jesus had great regard for the spiritual capacity of children. Jesus said in Matthew 19:14b, “…the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

God is not a respecter of persons. Even when the children have young hearts and young minds, we believe that the Lord can use them for His work – when they are out with their classmates in school, their playmates at the playground, their friends in the sports class – to be living testimonies for Him.  In the book of Joel 2:28-29, it was prophesied “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.” At Freedom Worship Center, we believe this for our very own children. That is why, we make it a point to help equip them with a basic foundation of the knowledge of God, His love, His works and His ways which they will eventually discover for themselves as they grow up and mature in their walk in the Lord.

Each Sunday, we conduct bible-based lessons for the children seasoned with various fun-filled activities. Our children are taught the significance of making prayer a part of their daily lives. They sing, dance, praise and worship the Lord with their own words in prayer and through the music they make. At least 2-3 times a year, they participate in the adult service in the sanctuary by giving a small dance or song presentation, skit or play.

We have separate groups for children aged 5-8 and from 9-12. Our facilities include two separate children’s rooms for the two groups of children, audio-visual system including a good number of films on VHS and DVDs, their own keyboard to play music, and a library of teaching materials to help them learn.

Every last Sunday of the month, we conduct special activities for children like film viewing, arts and crafts, mini-sports fest which everyone of them can participate in and be an avenue to learn truths about God. And bearing in their very souls these truths, as young as they are, they can be beacons of light out into the world!
