Questions to consider. If God is giving us an amazing invitation to Draw Near and walk in intimacy with him, why aren't more people doing so? John Bevere says there is a lack of hunger in the people in the body of Christ. Are you hungry for God? Then I hope you will join us tonight 25.5.16 for our second lesson with John Bevere "Drawing Near" at 19:00. Tonight's lesson is "Protect Your Hunger". Tonight (Finally) we will begin our series with John Bevere, Drawing Near - A Life of Intimacy with God. This 12 week series will be every Wednesday night starting at 19:00. If you have a computer at home you can view this video on webex.de as we have been doing for the past 2 years for Wednesday night Bible study. If you do not have a computer I invite you to please join the class at the church. The newly installed TV is now equipped to broadcast the sessions in full HD! If you have been joining our studies using a tablet or smartphone, I am sorry to let you know, but you will not be able to view the teaching DVD that is a big part of this new series. You will only be able to see and hear the discussion with those that are connected. My advice is to use a computer or come to the church. Now a few words about the Drawing Near series. I highly suggest that you get the book. It is available on Amazon Kindle, print, and even available in German. However, the teaching video and our sessions will only be in English. A German Bible Study is being planned for the future for those that are unable to join because of the language barrier. Sorry:( I know after being a pastor for several years that many people struggle with having intimacy with God. They know He exist and He is there, but the connection with Him is often distant and sometimes cold. You may have heard me say at times that "you are as close to God right now as you want to be". I believe this is true, but the good news is if you will make a step toward Him, He will come close to you. God desires to be close to his children and I guarantee that He is probably more excited and passionate about drawing near to you than you are to Him. I challenge you to take a step with us in this series. Some may say that watching a video teaching using a computer for a Bible study is strange. This may be for some unless of course you are meeting at the church with others. Some have communicated to me that they are turned off by this way of studying God's word, but I am willing to bet that if you are not joining this video that you are probably going to be watching something else on a TV screen somewhere in your home. This is the year 2016 folks, and almost everyone that has a computer, tablet, or smartphone, that occasionally looks at Facebook or Youtube is probably watching video clips almost daily! So I ask you, what is the difference, and is what you are watching on Facebook feeding your spirit and bringing you closer to God? If you can honestly answer no, then I really hope you will make every effort you can to join us on webex or at the church for this possible life changing series, Drawing Near.
